Cooperation with clinical societies

We use basic and translational approaches in a multidisciplinary framework involving close cooperation with clinical research groups and societies working in the field of respiratory medicine. 

Dr. Almendros, assistant professor and group leader, has been elected as European Respiratory Society (ERS) Early Career Members Committee young representative in Assembly 4 and member of the Fellowship and Award Working Group. Also, he was elected in 2017 as member of the Long Term Committee of “PII del Sueño de SEPAR” and, in 2018, member of the scientific committee of the Spanish Sleep Society (SES). As research management positions, Dr. Almendros is member of the American Thoracic Society (ATS) Sleep and Respiratory Neurobiology Program Committee (2015-2018), member of the ATS Lung Aging Working Group, member of the ERS College of Experts and member of the Long Range Planning Committee (LRPC) of ERS Assembly 4.
